What is OPEN MIC community?

OPEN MIC is a place for you to share your opinions, feedback and engagement with sport, entertainment and news. We might ask you things like what drama TV series have you been binging lately, what sport or entertainment would you like to see come to 7plus, how you feel about the judges on Australian Idol and how have you been keeping up to date on the latest news.
We may ask you for ideas and inspiration in our pursuit to bring you the most relevant and engaging content and news.

How do I give some feedback directly to the Seven Network?

If you would prefer to speak directly with Seven Network staff, please get in touch with the Research and Insights Customer Service team who can be contacted at researchmail@seven.com.au

How are my survey responses handled?

Survey responses are collated and analysed collectively by Evolved Insights and are then presented and used by key team members at Seven Network, who will then use this data to make informed decisions on how to improve Seven’s content, services and product offering such as the 7plus app.

Who manages OPEN MIC community?

Will you respond to every post?

In short, no. OPEN MIC is a place for you to discuss ideas with others, and for Seven Network to listen to that discussion. The team at OPEN MIC community will read every post, and where we can add value, we will comment.

If an idea of mine is implemented, will I get credit?

If an idea of yours is implemented, we may give you credit on our community but we won’t be providing compensation to members if we use an idea discussed on OPEN MIC community. Please take the time to read the Terms and Conditions if you would like to know more, in particular, the section headed “Intellectual Property and Ownership of website content.”

Membership

How do I register to be part of OPEN MIC community?

Please register for OPEN MIC by providing your First Name, Last Name, and email address and agreeing to the Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Statement.
Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive an email confirming your email address and a link that will direct you to the OPEN MIC community site. From there we’d love you to fill out some profile information so we can get to know you better and can tailor the most relevant content for you.

How do I update my details?

You can update your details at any time via your My Profile page.

Prizes and rewards

How do I earn points?

You can earn points on OPEN MIC by being active on the community . Quick polls, surveys and conversations all earn you points. Each point you earn will count as one entry into the prize draw for that calendar month.
Click on My Account on the top right-hand corner of the page to see how many points you have earned. For more detail, you can also click My Activity, which you will find in the My Account menu under My Prizes.

Tell me more about the prize draws

OPEN MIC offers entry into a monthly draw with $500 in e-gift cards, comprising of a 1x $100 GiftPay e-gift card major prize and 20 x $20 GiftPay e-gift cards given away every month. There is more than $6,000 worth of additional prizes to be won throughout the year which will be distributed to highly active members, members with innovative and thoughtful ideas and responses and random spot prizes. Every point you earn completing OPEN MIC activities gives you another entry into the prize draw.

How will I receive my prize?

Your prize will be emailed to you when you redeem. The email will have a link to the GiftPay website where you select your gift card(s). If you do not receive the email containing the link, please get in touch with support@giftpay.com and they will be able to reissue the link to you.

Be respectful of other members

We encourage all members of OPEN MIC to share their thoughts and experiences openly. Members are expected to be respectful of other members. Content deemed to be offensive, abusive, harassing, untrue or unkind will be removed from the OPEN MIC community.

The best way to get the most out of OPEN MIC is to be an active contributor. Share thoughts and opinions, be genuine and enjoy being a part of something fun.

How do I leave the community?

We’ll be sad to see you leave, but if OPEN MIC is not your thing, please click the My Account page then on the Profile tab and click the ‘Unsubscribe’ button.
